Yes, because tasking people with AI-complete programming tasks (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AI-complete ) is only slightly worse than systematically malfunctioning sarcasm filters.

Or, I guess we could solve this on the user side with a sarcasm filter or a
humor pipe, but you might lose some data that way.

Or we could acknowledge code4lib's role as a safe place for people to tune their sarcasm detectors.
