YIVO is looking for a web developer to assist in the creation of a portal website that will perform a federated search on digital resources and metadata that reside in Digitool and Aleph (Ex Libris products) AND Archon (open source archival platform).
This website would serve as the portal to the materials we are digitizing in our 7-year international project, the YIVO Vilna Collections Project. Does anyone on this list have a recommendation or a lead for an independent web developer with experience creating library and/or archives websites? Many library web development specialists, are, of course, working in the IT departments of universities but we need someone with experience who is available for hire.
