It might have something to do with a PART modification, which prefixes
the channel with a ':'. This is correct behaviour, as the RFC states the
last parameter may be prefixed with a colon. Chances are MS Chat is not
(fully) RFC compliant, and IIRC it is no longer being maintained by
Microsoft either :/
