+r is a protection mode, similar to +n and +t, that does not
prohibit channel entry, like +l, +b, +k, or +i.  (IRC operators
using /clearmode to gain entry can and should log in anyway.)
It does not confer special privileges, like +o or +v.  If you
want to remove it, specify a control string containing +r to
/clearmode--you don't have to accept the default if it doesn't
fit the situation.
