where can we download this patch? ive looked on the gnuworld patch list and
the only thing closest to it is the ADDUSERID command

A patch has been submitted to accomodate these purposes.  It is being
reviewed
at present.  If it proves to be a safe enough alternative, it will be
comitted
to the gnuworld source tree.
