[NRS == Nuby Ruby SIG, BTW] [For anyone who has no idea about what I'm talking about, a small group of us are getting together in Surry Hills each week to learn how to program in Ruby. We've kinda hijacked the coders list to communicate and support each other, because we're coding and nobody else is doing much here. If anyone has any problems with our using the list, please contact me privately and we'll make other arrangements. If anyone wants to be involved in the weekly meetup, please also contact me off-list]
OK guys, before next Tuesday's meeting, everyone needs to read Chapters 1-4 of Why's Poignant Guide To Ruby (http://poignantguide.net/ruby/); that is "Kon'nichi wa, Ruby", "A Quick (And Hopefully, Painless) Ride Through Ruby (With Cartoon Foxes)", and "Floating Little Leaves Of Code". An additional (and slightly less silly) resource is Learn To Program (http://pine.fm/LearnToProgram/), which starts from The Absolute Basics and covers things in a bit more depth. We're basically going to be covering the material in chapters 0-7 of LtP on Tuesday. - Matt _______________________________________________ coders mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slug.org.au/listinfo/coders
