Hi, I'm a long time reader of the slug lists, although I've never been game enough to post, until now that is.

People don't like to see the bad advice go to the original poster, and stay in the archives for other people to find, so they do their best to correct you. What we end up with is 10 people all against you, trying hard to show you the light. Off the top of my head, you gave bad advice about compiling kernels, and how modules work.
