first of all, thanks for collectl, I recently discovered that tool and it
works really great !
I am currently working on an openTSDB export module for collectl. It is
still in alpha version and is mostly based on the graphite export module.
It works quite well when running collectl in collection mode.
I would like to provide the ability to playback raw files and export the
results to openTSDB using this new module. It would let me import all my
previously exported metrics currently stored on my nodes to the openTSDB
backend. However, it does not seem that the graphite export module was able
to do that so my openTSDB version can't do it neither :). I would like to
know if I am missing something or if the export logic was not just designed
for that purpose. In that case, does it seem possible to do it based on
current collectl architecture or is it just impossible ? Any guidelines to
help on what I should do would be really appreciated.
