What is the recommended way to forward collectl traffic to one or more
graphite servers? Say, for instance we have multiple racks with one rack
leader per rack of compute nodes.
We want to turn on collectl on a rack of compute nodes temporarily and send
the data to out graphite VM. The graphite VM cannot talk directly to the
compute nodes but it can talk to the rack leaders. We would need to
forward the colelctl information from the rack leaders to a graphite server
or servers.
In ganglia you could do this with using multiple gmetad's
Can collectl run as an agent on a head node and forward traffic or are we
better off using "nc" as an xinetd daemon or something else? Iptables?
