You want to flag documents as "created by OpenOffice.org"
Adding that label to OOo's native format (OpenDocument) doesn't make
much sense, since nowadays OOo basically is the only application that
really supports this format.
StarOffice, Writely, KOffice and IBM Workplace can all make OpenDocument
files. And all but Writely plan on doing so natively. Other applications
that are working on OpenDocument support include 602PC Suite,
EasyOffice, Abiword, TextMaker, Gnumeric and Scribus. I also wrote a
plugin to give PmWiki the ability to export wiki pages as OpenDocument.
So it wouldn't be fair to say that an OpenDocument file must have been
made with OOo. Especially in the future. OpenDocument is not yet another
single-application format.
Cheers,
Daniel.
