I note that Paris has a big event the week following, 24-25 Sept.,
the
Paris Capitale du Libre. [0] It may be reasonable to use the media
presence and attention given to that event--? (I doubt it would be
impossible to situate OOo in the event.)
I belong to the organization of the event, for the official
conferences,
also for the non official conferences, and for the open source
village.
So believe me, OOo will be present at this event, the 3.0 being out or
in rc stage version ;-) We belong also to the first EOLE event
http://www.eolevent.eu/.

I'm glad to hear this! There had been some discussion among a few of
us offlist regarding making something big of OOo 3.0's birthday, and
Paris had been mentioned.
So, the question--and we can continue this directly on com@ --how
feasible would it be to have a special party dedicated to the launch,
in Paris?
