Well, time is of the essence, alas. I'm also trying to engage some of
the key developers in honouring OOo 3.0's birthday. There is some
interest, but so much depends on dates. OOo will be ready mid-to-3rd
week of Sept. I cannot make it to Paris then, though that doesn't
matter too much (except to me). Later October is more feasible, but
OOo 3.0 would then be 1 month old or so. On the other hand, OOo's 8th
birthday--an auspicious number/date in Chinese calendar--is 13 Oct.
So, my summary:
* if feasible, perhaps an event mid-Sept., around the time of OOo 3.0?
(not sure where this wd. be)
* If not then, perhaps later, in October?
