I just checked OTEL code source and found that it doesn't allow negative results in all its counters (including `UpDownCounter`, which we use); maybe we need to implement a class to support relative Gauges with increase/decrease methods. @ferruzzi WDYT? -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
