We’d like to move to AAF 3, but unfortunately this is preventing us from doing so. Not merged yet, so no idea. Also this one has this weird thing that this is both - provider AND Airlfow change, so as long as the configuration from "local_settings" is not released in Airflow, I guess it will not work even if we release provider. So that one needs a bit more deliberate thinking on how things are going to be released and which combination of provider and airflow will work. BTW. This is one of the few last remaining things (alongside default connections) where specific "provider" things are somewhat configured in "airflow-core". Eventually (possibly by 3.2) we should be able to decouble those last few implicit "provider" things in "airflow-core".
