We’ve had been using SAP HANA for years with just a JdbcHook and standard Airflow SQL operators without any issues. Using the SAP ODBC driver wasn’t feasible due to persistent bugs and random character encoding problems—it worked intermittently at best. Keep in mind that, in many environments, direct access to SAP HANA via ODBC or JDBC may be restricted due to licensing limitations.
