I don't have a clear answer on how much user space is impacted by this. So not a strong +1 as it is in gitSync, but won't be -1. We should target [the backport branch](https://github.com/apache/airflow/tree/chart/v1-2x-test) if we want to make this improvement go through. `main` will be 2.0 after the devlist discussion ends with one final Lazy Consensus. These won't be needed in the `main`. We are not releasing the `1.2x` versions from the `main`. That makes sense since it is only needed for the 1.x line.
