I'v been thinking about it - and - to be perfectly hoonest I think this is quite a bit too much over-the-top. We rarely (very) have build-deps issue that would require constraints, and possibly we will have less of it. It also does not really (unlike the regular constraints) help our users in anything - this is mostly to avoid some very, very rare cases where lack of build constraints causes issues. There were maybe 4 times I remember over 7 years or so - and we've always been able to work it around.... And it might slow-down the - already slow - builds we have. So .. while its' a bit harsh after seeing how much effort you put into it, but I think that might simply be not worth it. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
