I've opened #73749 with a fix for this. It keeps the silent-success behavior when `do_xcom_push` is off (only pod logs are lost there), and raises `PodNotFoundException` when XCom was expected, so the task fails/retries and recreates the pod along with its XCom sidecar instead of being marked SUCCESS with no `return_value` XCom. Note: I saw the earlier attempt in #73131 was closed unmerged during today's 5-open-PR limit enforcement before any maintainer review — this PR re-implements the same approach (fail when `do_xcom_push` is set) with its own regression test, so it should not conflict with that work. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
