Hi, I'd like to work on this issue. Plan: align non-`default_pool` PATCH validation with the masked-field path (merge existing pool values for unmasked fields before `BasePool` validation), add API tests for partial `update_mask=slots` bodies, and verify bulk update behaves the same.
