Thank you @hkc-8010 for the production corroboration and for spelling out the locking-semantics analysis — the `of=DagModel` point is exactly what a reviewer would question first, and it's great to have it documented. Echoing the credit to @seanmuth for the original approach in #72395. The strengthened tests from SameerMesiah97's review are already pushed on the current head (4edd569). One small request: the Airflow CI workflows are still awaiting approval on this PR — so far only the Mergeable/WIP app checks have run.
