> I am confused. Isn't this is clearing instead of backfilling? We can improve the clear ux to make it easier to select a time range If I understood everything correctly, backfill actually already does clearing under the hood — the existing `failed/ completed` behaviors clear existing run via `dag.clear()`. Current PR just makes that clear task-level instead of whole-run, reusing the `only_failed/only_new` flags the clear API already has. The reason I put it in backfill is the mixed-range case: some dates in the range have no runs at all, some have failed ones. Clear can only touch existing runs, while backfill creates the missing ones and fixes the failed ones in a single operation — with pacing via max_active_runs and one entity you can track or cancel. A time-range selector for clear would be a nice improvement it seems like, but for me I see it as complementary rather than an alternative. Again, maybe Im mistaken. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service. To respond to the message, please log on to GitHub and use the URL above to go to the specific comment.
