potiuk opened a new pull request, #75555: URL: https://github.com/apache/airflow/pull/75555
Backport of #75142 to `airflow-ctl/v0-1-test`, so pull requests to the airflow-ctl release branches get CI and report the "CI passed" check that the "Require CI on release branches" ruleset requires. This is an adapted backport. Pull requests to these branches did not trigger the Tests workflow at all, so they had no CI. They only change airflow-ctl, so a new `airflow-ctl-tests.yml` workflow runs just the airflow-ctl tests (Python 3.10-3.14, local venv, no CI image) and a "CI passed" gate on them. `check-ci-gate-needs` checks that workflow. The `.asf.yaml` rulesets, the newsfragment workflow trigger and the committer docs only take effect on `main`, so they are left out. Tested: check-ci-gate-needs passes on airflow-ctl-tests.yml; its 7 unit tests pass; prek (including zizmor and yamllint) passes on the changed files. This PR is the first run of the new workflow: it should report "Airflow CTL tests" and "CI passed". --- ##### Was generative AI tooling used to co-author this PR? - [X] Yes — Claude Code (Opus 5) Generated-by: Claude Code (Opus 5) following [the guidelines](https://github.com/apache/airflow/blob/main/contributing-docs/05_pull_requests.rst#gen-ai-assisted-contributions) 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
