I merged `main` (f1510f138e) to resolve the conflict with #74889. The shared `load_image` action now restores the image stash through the new `stash-restore` action, so self-hosted runners keep the S3 path. Both prepare actions still delegate to `load_image`, and the snapshot stays limited to GitHub-hosted runners.
