- Encountered while I was releasing a new version of Java-SDK snapshot (https://lists.apache.org/thread.html/khhrc4f9zcry9tslzrj1h74vjc13ljo6) - related: https://github.com/apache/airflow/actions/runs/41024651006 ## Why Staging the Java SDK docs for `1.0.0-SNAPSHOT` created `docs/java-sdk/1.0.0-SNAPSHOT/` in S3. Python's version parser (`packaging.version.Version`) rejects Maven `-SNAPSHOT` versions, so the "Syncing docs to S3" step now exits 1 on every staging publish, for any package. ## What - `get_latest_minor_versions` skips `-SNAPSHOT` folders with a warning instead of flagging a version error. - `dump_docs_package_metadata` leaves out a package that has no released version (e.g. only a snapshot), instead of failing with `IndexError`. - Add a unit test with the `java-sdk` folders currently on staging (`1.0.0-SNAPSHOT`, `1.0.0-beta1`) and a snapshot-only package. --- ##### Was generative AI tooling used to co-author this PR? - [x] Yes, with help of Claude Code Opus 5.5 following [the guidelines](https://github.com/apache/airflow/blob/main/contributing-docs/05_pull_requests.rst#gen-ai-assisted-contributions) -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
