## Why `airflowctl backfill create-dry-run` parses the response as a `BackfillResponse`, but the dry-run endpoint returns `DryRunBackfillCollectionResponse`: the runs a backfill would create. The missing-field fallback from #70954 then reads the mismatch as an older server, so the command prints one all-null row plus a misleading "older Airflow line" warning, and exits 0. ## What - `create_dry_run` in `airflow-ctl/src/airflowctl/api/operations.py` validates against `DryRunBackfillCollectionResponse`; the generic output already prints one row per run. - The unit test's dry-run mock returned a `BackfillResponse`, which baked the bug in; it now returns the real shape. - A new `airflow-ctl-tests` case runs the command against a real API server, so it comes off the coverage exclusion list. --- ##### Was generative AI tooling used to co-author this PR? - [X] Yes — Claude Code (Opus 5.5) Generated-by: Claude Code (Opus 5.5) following [the guidelines](https://github.com/apache/airflow/blob/main/contributing-docs/05_pull_requests.rst#gen-ai-assisted-contributions) -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
