### Description I've been using Airflow in production for quite some time, and honestly, the DAG list filtering experience in 3.4.0rc2 feels like a step backwards. There are two things that make the current experience frustrating. 1. Filters don't persist naturally across navigation This was the subject of my earlier issue #66933. I expected my current filters to remain when navigating between pages and returning to the DAG list. Instead, the proposed solution was Preset Filters, which allows saving and pinning predefined combinations. I appreciate the effort, but this isn't really what I was looking for. I don't want to maintain dozens of saved filter combinations. I want Airflow to remember my current working context. I frequently change filters depending on what I'm investigating, and saving every possible combination isn't practical. 2. The new filtering interface makes everyday operations slower The new filter bar introduced in 3.4 adds unnecessary interactions to common operations. For example, filtering DAGs by Run State previously required two clicks: 1. Click Run States. 2. Select Running. Now: 1. Click Add Filter. 2. Select Run State. 3. Select Running. The bigger problem is when you want to switch between filtered and unfiltered results. For example, if I'm currently filtering by Running and want to see all DAGs again, I have to remove the entire Run State filter. There is no option to simply select "All States". Then, when I want to filter again, I have to go through Add Filter and recreate the Run State filter from scratch. There should be an easy way to clear the selection and return to all states without removing the filter control. I also miss having the available filters visible immediately, without having to open a menu every time. ### Use case/motivation The DAG list is something I use constantly throughout the day, not just occasionally to search for something. When monitoring production workloads, I want to quickly switch between different views, inspect DAG states, clear filters and move on. I don't want to think about managing filter configurations or maintaining collections of presets. I just want the interface to remember where I left off and make common operations quick. Ideally, users should be able to choose how filters are displayed, retain their current filter state across navigation, and clear individual filter selections without having to recreate the controls. The goal is simple: make the DAG list efficient for people who use Airflow every day. ### Related issues #66933: Original request about preserving filters when navigating between pages. #71731: UI: Unify list page filters and table header controls. https://github.com/apache/airflow/pull/71731 #70911: Consolidate DAG list search and filters. https://github.com/apache/airflow/pull/70911 ### Are you willing to submit a PR? - [ ] Yes I am willing to submit a PR! ### Code of Conduct - [x] I agree to follow this project's [Code of Conduct](https://github.com/apache/airflow/blob/main/CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md) -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
