With BuildBox 1.4.28, this will be fixed also for hardlinks (https://gitlab.com/BuildGrid/buildbox/buildbox/-/merge_requests/1270). Hardlinking has never been the normal configuration for BuildStream 2.x, though, so the vast majority of users hasn't been affected by this for a long time as they are using buildbox-fuse or reflinks (or the slow but safe copy fallback). -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
