@jamesnetherton RHEL [image](https://mcr.microsoft.com/en-us/artifact/mar/mssql/rhel/server/tag/2025-latest) solves the FIPS better, BUT * its TLS 1.3 handshake fails with mssql-jdbc [mssql-jdbc#1524](https://github.com/microsoft/mssql-jdbc/issues/1524), [mssql-jdbc#2149](https://github.com/microsoft/mssql-jdbc/issues/2149)) and cannot be reliably forced down to FIPS-compliant TLS 1.2 without brittle JVM or container-mount workarounds.
