_Claude Code on behalf of davsclaus_ Found while testing "fix with AI" (#27188) live. A local model was asked to fix *one* problem (`seda: Unknown option 'siz'`), and its `camel_edit_file` was refused because the file also had an unrelated problem on another line. So it had to fix every problem of the file to change one line. That is a scope creep the human did not ask for, and a hard task for a small model. ### Change - A write or edit is refused only for the problems it **brings**. The problems the file already had no longer refuse it. A problem counts as the same when its message is the same, wherever its line moved to (as many times as it was there). - The problems the file still has are listed in the answer as `existingProblems`, so the agent does not take them for fixed. - The same applies in the TUI's own write path (`McpFacade.writeFile`). A new file, or a file that cannot be read, is still refused for any problem. ### Tests `AuthoringToolsExistingProblemsTest`: - an edit that fixes one of two problems is written, and the other is reported; - an edit that brings a new problem is refused, and the file is unchanged; - a problem whose line moved is still the same problem. The existing `AuthoringTools*` (camel-jbang-core) and TUI write tests pass. 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
