The source editor explains the property placeholders of a line
(`{{timer.period}} = 1s (application.properties)`), and offers them as
completions. It only read the `.properties` files in the project folder, which
is where a `camel run` folder keeps them.
A Maven (or Gradle) project, such as a Spring Boot or Quarkus example, keeps
them in `src/main/resources`. Opening `TimerRoute.java` of
`camel-quarkus-examples/timer-log` said `{{timer.period}} is not set in the
project's .properties files` although
`src/main/resources/application.properties` sets it.
The placeholders are now read from both folders. The source is shown
relative to the project (`src/main/resources/application.properties`).
