[CAMEL-25328](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-25328) **The problem:** a route-level error handler written as a step of the route: ```yaml - route: id: payment-provider from: uri: direct:charge steps: - noErrorHandler: {} ``` was refused with "property 'noErrorHandler' is not defined in the schema and the schema does not allow additional properties", and no hint. CAMEL-24881 added hints for the other wrong shapes (an error handler under `route:` or `from:`, or a `type:` under `errorHandler:`), but not for a step. In the local-model benchmark (round 4, fail-well/error-handling step 2), 2 of 5 runs wrote it as the first step, got no form to write, and did not recover. **The change:** a `SchemaHints` row for an error handler kind (noErrorHandler, deadLetterChannel, defaultErrorHandler, ...) as an unknown property of a step. It adds: ``` an error handler is not a step: write it on the route, next to from:, as errorHandler: {noErrorHandler: {}} (a top-level - errorHandler: item applies to every route) ``` **Tests:** - New: `YamlValidatorPropertyHintTest.testErrorHandlerAsAStepGetsTheRouteForm`, in both schema modes. - The camel-yaml-dsl-validator module passes (191 tests), including the suites that check every documentation example. 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) https://claude.ai/code/session_01STT6whBgK1AqsSsUKrnE8m -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
