Closing this as not planned. Since this idea was filed, Kamelets have become the way Camel logic is packaged: almost every connector in 4.22.x is generated from a Kamelet, and multi-step flows (source, actions, sink) are composed from Kamelets in Camel itself, for example as Camel K Pipes (https://camel.apache.org/camel-k/next/pipes/pipes.html). As discussed above, translating full routes into Kafka Connect properties would duplicate Camel.
