Sorry this discussion never reached a conclusion here. Since then every connector is published on Maven Central as a self-contained package that includes its dependencies and a generated example properties file listing the mandatory options (under docs/examples in the archive), and the user guide explains how to install the packages and how to build a Kafka Connect image with them (https://camel.apache.org/camel-kafka-connector/next/user-guide/getting-started/getting-started-with-packages.html and https://camel.apache.org/camel-kafka-connector/next/user-guide/getting-started/try-it-out-on-docker.html). On Kubernetes, the Strimzi KafkaConnect build feature can download the package directly. Closing this as not planned, since a dedicated bootstrap CLI would add little on top of that; please open a new issue if you find a gap in the getting-started docs for 4.22.x. --- _Claude Code on behalf of Andrea Cosentino_ -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
