Stefania commented on CASSANDRA-8897: ------------------------------------- Hi [~benedict], thank you for taking the time to improve the burn test, it's in much better shape now. I've integrated all your suggestions, which do make a lot of sense, and rebased. I made a couple of changes, nothing of significance, last two commits on the branch. All tests are good, CI results: http://cassci.datastax.com/view/Dev/view/stef1927/job/stef1927-8897-dtest/lastCompletedBuild/testReport/ http://cassci.datastax.com/view/Dev/view/stef1927/job/stef1927-8897-testall/lastCompletedBuild/testReport/ A couple of cperf tests: http://cstar.datastax.com/tests/id/1747b600-0c16-11e5-a86a-42010af0688f http://cstar.datastax.com/tests/id/ff83bc82-0c18-11e5-a1b0-42010af0688f Burn test ran for 30 minutes on my box with no errors reported. > Remove FileCacheService, instead pooling the buffers > ---------------------------------------------------- > > Key: CASSANDRA-8897 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-8897 > Project: Cassandra > Issue Type: Improvement > Components: Core > Reporter: Benedict > Assignee: Stefania > Fix For: 3.x > > Attachments: 8897.yaml, 9240_test_results.txt, > snapshot-1431582436640-cpu-backtraces.png, > snapshot-1431582436640-cpu-calltree-compression-8897.nps, > snapshot-1431582436640-cpu-calltree-compression-trunk.nps > > > After CASSANDRA-8893, a RAR will be a very lightweight object and will not > need caching, so we can eliminate this cache entirely.
