Right. I had been experimenting with [a different
approach|https://github.com/apache/cassandra-dtest/pull/175] (see commit list)
by changing into the right folder before submitting instead of an absolute path
and yes it fixes it. That worked for that test but not for the other 2. That
doesn't explain why it started failing suddenly when it was working before or
the root cause.
Also running the test on circle in isolation always succeeds for me. The
problem comes from running the full dtest suite. It's like there is some cross
talk between tests somewhere.
I will investigate a bit more otherwise settle on the absolute path solution bc
