Jeff Widman commented on CASSANDRA-17432: ----------------------------------------- Traditionally I'd say this should be a major version bump given that python 2 was removed--ie very much a breaking change (regardless of the previous py2 deprecation). But I'm torn as putting it at 6.1.0 keeps it in lock-step with the Cassandra 4.1.x release series... 6 one way, half a dozen the other... As long as the version gets bumped in some way I'm happy. :-) > Update cqlsh version in 4.1 > --------------------------- > > Key: CASSANDRA-17432 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-17432 > Project: Cassandra > Issue Type: Task > Reporter: Brad Schoening > Assignee: Brad Schoening > Priority: Normal > > The cqlsh in version 4.1 has had several important internal changes to > credentials management and removing compatibility with Python2. Therefore > the version should be incremented; e.g from 6.0.0 to 6.1.0 or similar. > -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.20.1#820001) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: commits-unsubscr...@cassandra.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: commits-h...@cassandra.apache.org
