Eh, I think we're in "a lot of this is running in production in the wild and
this is the direction the Java ecosystem is going" territory here. So less
rigorous due diligence than I'd prefer in general but probably fine in this
case.
Probably worth taking the rest to slack or a dev ML thread (though we have a
lot of irons in the fire so triage dictates this probably isn't top priority
atm... ;) )
