That's why we have independent versioning schemes for some of the components in the first place - instead of using the singular C* version everywhere. Regarding major, minor, and patch, this does not track our historic use of the language. Since we don't and never have followed semver here, we've only ever had two components to our versioning: first two numbers designated to the major (1.2 in 1.2.10, 2.0 in 2.0.3, 2.1 in 2.1.2, 3.11 in 3.11.9, etc) and one number designated to the minor, less often referred to as patch (10 in 1.2.10, 3 in 2.0.3, 2 in 2.1.2, 9 in 3.11.9, etc).
