Brandon Williams commented on CASSANDRA-12972:
----------------------------------------------

bq. I doubt that if somebody is running a stress test which is designed to run
for 1 hour that they would be interested about the results each second .

I don't know about that, I like having constant feedback from stress, but
having knobs for it and the headers both is great.

bq. it's better print not with predefined frequency, but every N lines

I think in practice this becomes an implementation detail that isn't really
visible. Printing based on lines or time should be roughly the same unless
performance is varying wildly.

> Print stress-tool header for statistics with arbitrary frequency

> Currently header with columns meaning is printed only on test beginning. If
> test is long it's not handy to interpret rows with numbers only.
> I propose to repeatably print headers each half-minute or so.
> Patch is available, is this improvement needed?
> Thanks.
