Kapil Shewate commented on CASSANDRA-18149:
-------------------------------------------
[~brandon.williams]
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-20094 is marked as duplicate of
CASSANDRA-18149 but the issue is not fixed , we still see the old version
snakeyaml1.26 in Cassandra 5.0.2. Could you please let us know if there will be
a new version of this jar available in the forthcoming releases or is
Cassandra not vulnerable to the following CVE's in snakeyaml1.26.jar . Please
note that 9.8 is a very high score.
*CVE-2022-1471 BDSA-2022-3447 9.8 Critical*
apache-cassandra-5.0.2/lib/snakeyaml-1.26.jar
*CVSS score:-9.8 Critical*
> snakeyaml vulnerabilities: CVE-2021-4235, CVE-2022-1471, CVE-2022-3064

> The OWASP scan is reporting these for both snakeyaml-1.11 and snakeyaml-1.26.
> These are similar to CASSANDRA-17907 in that they require access to the yaml
> to have any effect.
