Hi [~liucao], I think the CassandraDataLayer deserves a good overhaul.
Currently the class has too many responsibilities, and we need to split it up
into logical pieces. I am thinking of taking on that work, but if you are
interested in doing a refactor, I'd be happy to help you on that effort.
