Brandon Williams commented on CASSANDRA-3337: --------------------------------------------- My hesitation with putting this in nodetool is that it should only be called post-0.8.3 (meaning CASSANDRA-2496) if: * You got bitten by CASSANDRA-3259 * You got bitten by CASSANDRA-3351 In either case, both are resolved now so this would be a one-time thing to clear out the bad states. This definitely shouldn't be called by a tool in any sort of automated way, and I don't want to give users the impression that it's a 'normal' thing to do, since that may paper over a real problem. > Create a 'killtoken' command > ---------------------------- > > Key: CASSANDRA-3337 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-3337 > Project: Cassandra > Issue Type: New Feature > Components: Core > Reporter: Brandon Williams > Assignee: Brandon Williams > Labels: gossip > Fix For: 1.0.6 > > Attachments: 3337.txt > > > Sometimes you just want a token gone: no re-replication, nothing, just excise > it. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA.
