{{IndexTermType#comparator()}} has only one caller in {{V1SSTableIndex}}. It's
used there to establish the min and max terms across segments. Unfortunately,
{{comparator()}} does not unwrap reversed clustering keys like {{compare()}}
does, and with incorrect min/max, queries will miss data.
