Erick Ramirez updated CASSANDRA-21595:
--------------------------------------
Test and Documentation Plan: Verify the updates render as expected in a
local preview of the website, including versioned pages using the version
selector in the documentation. Test each updated doc version for each PR.
Status: Patch Available (was: Open)
[~aviau] I've added a test plan to the ticket. Please confirm that you have
verified the doc updates by staging the website locally. Attaching screenshots
of the updated pages is the norm for providing evidence. Cheers! 🍻

> The only documenation available on `reset_bootstrap_progress` is the
> following:
> > In order to cleanup bootstrap state and start fresh, you may set the JVM
> > startup flag -Dcassandra.reset_bootstrap_progress=true.
> This gives the impression that if I don't want to start fresh, I should not
> do anything. However, this is false. If I want my node to resume bootstraping
> with existing data, I need to set it to `false`, which is different than the
> default of `unset`.
> I think this is impossible to infer from existing documentation. Only reading
> source code helped me understand.
