I look at it this way: Are there more users of 1.0.0 .. 1.0.3 out there, who 
will be surprised when they upgrade to 1.0.7 if we leave it be?  Or users of 
1.0.4 .. 1.0.6, who will be surprised when they upgrade if we change it?  
*That's* the most responsible way to signal we're taking stability seriously.

I don't know for sure, but 1.0.0 .. 1.0.3 had enough problems that I doubt many 
people are still using them.
