Sylvain Lebresne commented on CASSANDRA-4008: --------------------------------------------- That is not an impossibility, you can always use quotes to avoid that problem. I.e. list 'Schema' works as expected. And I don't think it's worth bothering adding special cases for every reserved words. I suppose we could document which are the reserved words and how to escape them. > Unable to operate on Schema column family in cassandra-cli as "Schema" is a > reserved word > ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: CASSANDRA-4008 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-4008 > Project: Cassandra > Issue Type: Bug > Affects Versions: 1.1.0 > Reporter: Kirk True > Assignee: Kirk True > Priority: Minor > Labels: lhf > Fix For: 1.1.0 > > > Steps: > # Run {{./bin/cassandra-cli}} > # Use the system keyspace ({{use system;}}) > # List the rows in the {{Schema}} column family ({{list Schema;}}) > Expected: > To see a list of rows. > Actual: > Error message: {{Syntax error at position 5: mismatched input 'Schema' > expecting set null}} -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA.
