Nope, most definitely not it (no breaking schema changes that could affect this 
between 1.2 and 2.0).

The RowMutation serialization, however, has changed between VERSION_12 and 
VERSION_20 (keyspace name present/absent). The commitlog is, and has always 
been, implicitly versioned, even if the replay code itself hasn't changed.
