Peter reopened CASSANDRA-6807:

I'm happy to make the enhancement and submit a patch so that CQL3 over thrift
gets the KEY when the user explicitly asks for it in the statement.
To not return it would be like Oracle not returning the primary key column when
the user explicitly asks for it.
