Aleksey Yeschenko commented on CASSANDRA-6952: ---------------------------------------------- It's only useful to avoid escaping the keyspace name if it's not all lower-case. Which isn't much, really, and ideally you should be using fully qualified table names anyway instead of USE. Consistency feels more important to me, so +1 to "sorry, we never support preparing a keyspace or table name". > Cannot bind variables to USE statements > --------------------------------------- > > Key: CASSANDRA-6952 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-6952 > Project: Cassandra > Issue Type: New Feature > Components: Core > Reporter: Matt Stump > Priority: Minor > Labels: cql3 > > Attempting to bind a variable for a USE query results in a syntax error. > Example Invocation: > {code} > ResultSet result = session.execute("USE ?", "system"); > {code} > Error: > {code} > ERROR SYNTAX_ERROR: line 1:4 no viable alternative at input '?', v=2 > {code} -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.2#6252)
