Clement - yes, it is possible to do this but it I don't agree that this 
information would not be valuable to have in the output of nodetool commands, 
particularly if we are trying to make them more user friendly. 

My experience of trying to help resolve issues is that this information is 
rarely to hand and makes trawling through logs to find out what was up somewhat 
challenging.
